Jacob Nitz
American-born and educated, Nitz holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati (2010). Before graduating, he was chosen to showcase his work at the ICFF Studio Exhibit at New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair. In 2011, he joined Chicago’s renowned MNML studio as a senior designer. Known for his minimalist approach, smart material use, and focus on sustainability, Nitz aims to lower production costs and reduce waste. For Bogaerts, he designed the Siren and Formosa collections.
Mario Alessiani
Raised in central Italy by architect parents, Mario Alessiani’s passion for design was sparked by the Tolomeo lamp in his father’s studio. After graduating from IED in Rome, he worked in London before founding his design firm at 24 in 2013. Recognized as a top under-30 Italian creative by Virginio Briatore and Design People, Mario focuses on functional beauty, using form to enhance efficiency. For Bogaerts, he designed Blossom.
Philip Bogaerts
Philip, a Dutch product designer based in Eindhoven, grew up in a small village in southern Netherlands and graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2010. After exploring various career paths, he founded Bogaerts in 2014, focusing on professional furniture design. Known for his minimalist and elegant style, Philip also oversees product development for his company. He designed Oblique, Flow, Butler, Mohs and Mono for Bogaerts.
