Production & sustainability
A valuable approach
We are convinced of the shared responsibility we bear to protect our planet. In order to contribute to a sustainable future, we offer various services, including the Re-Store furniture program and the use of sustainable materials, which help reduce the CO2 emissions of our products. By making conscious choices, we reduce the demand for raw materials and minimize waste.
Thanks to our careful design process, we create products that last a lifetime. With high-quality materials, transparent communication, and flexible designs, we offer the best furniture for your interior.
Design & production
In our design and production process, we consider various aspects to maintain the value of materials and products. By carefully selecting materials, making furniture easy to disassemble, and minimizing the CO₂ footprint of our products, we aim to create furniture that is as circular as possible.
For example, we avoid using glue when upholstering furniture and incorporate recycled textiles and plastic into tabletops. Both materials can be resold to manufacturers, allowing them to reuse the materials. We also work with sustainable woods such as solid oak and walnut, which last for generations and are easy to restore.
This way, our products retain their value. We produce our furniture on a project basis, which allows us to be flexible in responding to specific requests, such as powder coat colors and upholstery. All our products are manufactured in Europe and finished and assembled in the Netherlands. This ensures short communication lines with production and minimizes CO₂ emissions in the manufacturing process.
Sustainable materials
At Bogaerts, we offer a wide range of materials. We strive to inspire creative freedom in interior architects by providing a vast selection of colors and materials. At the same time, we believe it is important to raise awareness about the lifespan and use of materials. That’s why we work with materials that can be restored or recycled, and we have developed the Re-store program, through which a Bogaerts product can be restored or resold.

Footprint
Through measurements, we can map the CO2 footprint of our products. We look at the footprint of a new product, a recycled product, and a reused product. The footprint of a product decreases as materials are used more frequently. For this reason, we place great importance on ensuring a long lifespan for our products, so materials can retain their value for as long as possible. We discuss the reuse of our products on the Re-store page.
DPP - Passport
To share the characteristics of our products, we have created a product passport for each item. This passport contains information about the materials used, the CO2 footprint, and the recommended usage guidelines. By presenting this data transparently, we aim to promote and clarify sustainable choices. The relevant product passports can be found on the product pages.
Disassembly
By designing furniture pieces to be easily disassembled, we promote the reuse of components in new furniture. One example of this is that no glue is used when upholstering our products. This allows materials to be more efficiently reused or recycled at the end of their lifespan. These features also contribute to the efficient transportation and repair of the products.
